On march 16th 2006 Jen was hanging out at Alex's place as usual. He said he had bought her a gift but he wasn't sure if he was going to give it to her today. So of course that drove her NUTS! So he said he could have it at midnight. Jen suspected it was a proposal but didn't want to say anything.

So by midnight Jen was getting tired but very excited. She was sleeping over that night (like most nights) and they were watching tv. After the last show ended Alex got up to go to bed.

He raced up the stairs and Jen took her time. She was a little disappointed that nothing had come from the gift he said he had.

When she opened the bedroom door there was Alex kneeling on his  floor on one knee holding a box. He opened it and looked at her expectantly and said "well... Will you?"

Jen was so surprised she was speechless which is saying alot for her. She nodded or she thought she had but she must not have because Alex asked again "Will you marry me?" She finally found her voice and said yes. He put the ring on her finger and stood up. She was laughing and crying. She hugged him and wouldn't let go.  She then realized that it was midnight on march 17th St Patricks day. She couldn't call anyone because they would be sleeping!

 And that is how it all began!
